From Black and White to Full Colour
The journey began with a vintage black and white photograph, capturing a lively beach scene from years gone by. Our team meticulously colourised the image, paying close attention to skin tones, clothing, surf lifesaving equipment, and the natural landscape to ensure the finished result felt both authentic and vibrant.
Printed on Museum-Grade Fine Art Paper
Once the colourisation was complete, we printed the image on luxurious smooth, cotton-based fine art paper. This archival-grade paper delivers rich detail, soft tonal transitions, and a premium texture—perfect for preserving artworks that deserve the highest quality finish.
Float Mounted to Dibond for a Striking Drop Shadow Effect
To create a modern presentation with dimension, we float-mounted the print onto a Dibond backing. The artwork was mounted so it slightly protrudes from the surface of the background artboard, producing a clean drop shadow effect around the perimeter of the image. This technique offers a gallery-style aesthetic that adds sophistication without distraction.
Framed in Natural Oak with UV70 Glazing
We completed the presentation by centering the float-mounted image within a clean artboard border and enclosing it in a beautifully hand-finished natural oak frame. For added protection and clarity, we used UV70 glazing—offering 70% UV filtration to protect the artwork from fading while maintaining outstanding optical clarity.
